Movius Interactive announced its relationship with Action
Engine, The On-Device Portal Company. Through a global distribution, technology
and services agreement, the two companies will leverage their products to
create intuitive and personalized mobile media applications and portals for
mobile operators, cable operators and other service providers globally. Movius
selected Action Engine's award-winning Mobile Application Platform technology
as a part its strategy of enabling interactive, advertising-enabled mobile
handset applications that deliver a compelling user experience.
"Action Engine counts many of today's top media brands
as our customers, including AOL, Dow Jones, TiVo and MSNBC.com. Our partnership
with Movius, which has established relationships with top wireless operators in
more than 75 countries worldwide, greatly expands and accelerates the use of
our Mobile Application Platform with wireless operators and other service
providers across the globe," said Scott G. Silk, president and CEO of
Action Engine.
The partnership unites Action Engine's proven mobile
applications development technology with Movius' mobile media applications to
enable wireless operators to offer their customers the convenience, personalization
and interaction they demand from a mobile experience. Action Engine's
technology provides Movius with its handset applications framework and
management tools needed to bring interactivity to first-generation mobile media
applications and it creates an environment for launching new, feature-rich
interactive mobile media services that drive customer loyalty and mobile
content revenues.
"We selected Action Engine as a strategic partner for
our focus on new applications for the Interactive Mobile Media market because
the company is a true leader in on-device portal (ODP) technology. Their
cross-platform approach enables us to provide more personalized services across
a wide variety of devices including Java, Windows Mobile, BREW and RIM,"
said Oscar Rodriguez, CEO for Movius. "The inclusion of the Action Engine
Mobile Application Platform into the Movius Ecosystem supports our new suite of
mobile applications that give our customers a carrier-grade delivery mechanism
to serve up a superb mobile user experience."
