iPhone Reviews: The First Batch
All reviews are positive on balance. The negatives mainly coalesce around AT&T and EDGE as well as getting used to the keyboard. The keyboard gets better, EDGE does not. The most surprising thing to me was how they all said the iPhone seems virtually scratch-proof. They've all tossed in their pockets, knocked it with change and keys, and keep it unprotected during the duration of their tests. And virtually no marks. That's impressive. Some funky new materials or treatments perhaps?

The PDA phones have been about along while now all with touchscreen tech. and each new one has improved sencitivity. I got no doubts that the iphone will let us down. Ive hear that there will be 5 colours aswell. Exciting stuff

Didn't you read about the switch to an optical glass face? Probably planned all along; but, Apple didn't release the info about it till a couple weeks ago - just as reviewers were getting their copies for [embargoed] reviews.

In fact, in the last 48 hours, Apple has announced they've decided to increase scheduled orders for the new glass front to keep up with demand. The glass is from Germany.
